This is who we are

About us

We are a couple of sisters who found themselves being single mothers to 3 wonderful kids. I am the mother of a very active, independent, smart, loving and energetic 10 year old boy. While my sister is the mother of two sweet, intelligent, affectionate, strong-willed, nonverbal autistic twin boys.

We both face different challenges with out kids, but one thing remains the most important no matter how different our circumstances are, and that is the want to spend as much time as possible with our babies.

It is very difficult to imagine this happening when kids have to spend hours at school each day. So we thought, “why not homeschooling?”.

I have been a modern languages teacher for more than 10 years and I have taught students from 3 years old all the way to college level. I also have experience as a tutor and I have always been passionate about teaching and kids. My sister did her studies with focus on mathematics and sciences and she is the most amazingly creative person I know, not to mention that she is a wonderful Pastry Chef.

We have always been a great team, so we decided to do this together. We would combine our gifts and passions to give our kids the best education possible.

While looking for information about how to do this, we realized that, we really wanted to make sure that our kids’ learning was going to be commensurate to kids that were doing school the “traditional” way.

We found so many different options out there! So many different curricula, so many exercises, and yet no structure in the lessons… It was all, so overwhelming!

Our lovely parents raised us to be problem solvers, to never give up, and to be the change in the world that we want to see, so we decided to look for the standards ourselves and we prepared our lessons around them, making sure that we were including a thorough and simple explanation for all of them and enough exercises for our kids to practice, without it being overwhelming.

It is with great joy that we share our lessons with you today, so that you also can have peace of mind, knowing that your kids (and the curriculum standards) are covered. We hope that you’ll find our lessons easy to understand and to follow, and our exercises challenging enough to provoke the minds of our great thinkers.

We are all in this together. Just by being here, as a homeschool parent or caregiver, shows you want the best for them.
